Wheel Pass required, available here. Easy access from Piney Woods Retreat. Eagles Nest Township Access Point: 1552 Bear Head State Park Road, 1.9 miles from Piney Woods. Parking is near the Township Hall at the Mesabi Trail entry point kiosk. Repair station and tools at the kiosk. You can also access the Mesabi Trail from Piney Woods driveway via the hiking trail to Pickerel Lake if you have wider bike tires, and enjoy an adventure through the woods.
